AEYC Visitation

The Foothill Association for the Education of Young Children (AEYC) is an affiliate of the California Association for the Education of Young Children which is an affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children ( NAEYC ), contacted Mrs. Helen Manoucherians, program director at L. & H. Tavlian Preschool and Kindergarten, announcing that they were selecting quality schools like ours for a “Tour”. They commended our commitment to quality and were grateful if we would share our ideas on “best practices and curriculum for young children” with teachers, directors, educators, and etc… while touring the school on Saturday November 7, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, we hosted 96 educators. They were very pleased and commended our centers and resources, taking pictures, asking for our curriculum, safety guidelines booklets, calendar, and menu, etc…

We had a table with coffee and “Armenian Kata”. The sign in sheets were filled by the majority.

Our Teachers were present to answer all questions and hear wonderful comments. The educators were amazed to see the way we keep the Armenian traditions and introduce the American language and traditions. The positive energy gave us so much strength that I think we will be able to jump all obstacles, all year round. At the end, the school was awarded with a certificate of appreciation as an exemplary Early Childhood Education Program of the year 2009.

Once again the L. & H. Tavlain Preschool and Kindergarten Teachers and staff proved that we are one of the best education centers and “The Second Happiest Place on Earth”.
